Xiaoliang Zhang, PhD

Dr. Zhang is a Professor of Radiology and Bioengineering at University of California San Francisco (UCSF), engaged in teaching, in vivo MR imaging research and professional services. He is a core faculty member of UC Berkeley and UCSF Joint Bioengineering Program, and a faculty member of California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3). Dr. Zhang is a pioneer in the development of ultrahigh field MRI, and has authored and co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in the field of MR imaging. His research is funded by NIH and other research foundations. His research interests include MR instrumentation, parallel imaging and compressed sensing, metabolic imaging, technical development of interventional MRI, and their in-vivo applications.
