Professor James Griffith was trained in Cork, Ireland and Birmingham, UK and is currently head of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Department of Imaging and Interventional Radiology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He moved to Hong Kong from the West Midlands Radiology Rotation, Birmingham UK in 1995.

His clinical radiological practice incorporates all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging from radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI through to PET imaging as well as the basic interventional musculoskeletal techniques. His main current research areas are marrow changes in osteoporosis particularly with respect to the pathophysiology and early diagnosis of osteoporosis.
